Inlays Onlays
Porcelain onlays and inlays are types of restorative fillings used as an alternative to traditional fillings in teeth that have become damaged due to decay or other types of wear and tear. Porcelain onlays and inlays are made in a laboratory to fit the tooth precisely without leaving jagged edges. Additionally, they are colored to match the tooth, which prevents the inlay from being visible. Receiving a porcelain inlay requires two visits.
The benefits in addition to their resistance to discoloration, porcelain inlays and onlays preserve the structure of the tooth and prevent further decay. Porcelain dental inlays/onlays last twice as long as traditional fillings on average.
